The 7th district is the noble district of Paris. Noble because of a lot of its mansions were owned by the French nobility, noble because most of the french ministries and French and international organisations get their headquarters there, noble because the number of people there belonging to the old french gentry is very important. The Prime minister office is set in the 7th as well as the Foreign Office (Quai d'Orsay) or the Ministry of Education in Grenelle street or Agriculture in Varenne street close to Rodin Museum. You could also go to the UNESCO building, the Military School and Saint Louis des Invalides cathedral with the eponyme museum, and the Legion d'honneur museum, the legion d'honneur being the most sought after awards for civil servants. There are so many things to lok at that we almost forgot to say a word about the Champ de Mars gardens and the Eiffel Tower which dominates both the gardens and the Seine River. Last but not the leat got to Assemblée nationale the French parliament (Palais Bourbon) and have a look at the sister building hotel de Lassay which is the residency of the Parliament president. So many superb avenues where you could go for a walk are squaring this district that you will understand why we called it the noble district.
